Last I checked, Second Life® wasn't screen reader accessible, at least not without some additional research technology like the IBM® AbilityLab™ Virtual Worlds Accessible User Interface - see http://www-03.ibm.com/able/projects/virtual_worlds_accessible_UI.html and also enlisting people who have sight to annotate the virtual world environment so that people who are blind can participate. so,
