		<description>As Williams says: “the field of virtual worlds research is poised to take off”&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I would argue that the research is already underway -- anyone can delve into a couple of long-lived academic-focused newsgroups and instantly see that academic research is alive and kicking, particularly around Second Life, but also dating back to the bbs era of Howard Reingold</description>
