I'd like to be able to tease out which sites are pure retail and which sites are destination/role-playing/activity-based sites. I find it frustrating to click on link after link of nothing but shops. Perhaps an "activity" icon/sub category under the main categories - or Activity/Other -- with severe beatings for retailers who consider shopping to fall under this subcategory?

Plus, there is a considerable amount of blatant keyword spamming going on -- wish there were some way of punishing the twerps who load up their description with umpteen words that have no bloody relation whatsoever to the content on their islands.

As well, I was looking for some Groups in SL and it is very hard to find how to join or contact someone related to a Group.

[...] New search functionality has promise I’m encouraged by the work being done on an improved search interface in Second Life. Here’s hoping he’s right and this will help newbies at least. [...]
